Cultural Strangers and Education Policy in the Republic of Ireland
The term "cultural strangers" has been used by a colleague in UCC to refer to the OECD and all those from other countries who have been involved in changing education policies in Ireland. Do outsiders influence policy-making or do they legitimate policies already decided within Ireland? Do they enrich or threaten the identity of Irish education?
